Kshema's 7 Quick Takes Friday (Volume 12)

--- 1 --- A week full of ups and downs......... time is like a barcode, full of black and white stripes. One can even draw the analogy of a sine wave, perhaps. While one moment is ecstatic, the other is extremely depressing and demotivating.... sigh! This is life! An ode to the Gaan Gandharva!!

Pandit Bhimsen Joshi , a gem of Indian musicology, is remembered fondly even by a common man in India.  Indian national television Doordarshan has helped a lot in familiarizing with this musical marvel, even in the remotest parts of the country. The 80s generations will not forget 'Mile sur mera tumhara' and 'Baje sargam' produced by Lok Seva Sanchar Parishad.   Both, jewels of Doordarshan!! More soon :)
